Pleated blind with new design of lifting and lowering mechanism

The blind (10) is fixed between an upper (12) and a lower plastic rail (14) and is operated by pulling a string (22) as usual. The pulling string (22) is guided around the whole vertical length of the blind (10) on both sides protecting the blind (10) from bending to the front, the back or one of the sides. Only four holes are needed for the insertion and guidance of the string (22). The multitude of holes (24) used for the traditional way of folding the pleated blind (10) sometimes destroyed the impression of the blind (10) as an undivided item and allowed the bright sunshine to penetrate through the holes (24).
