The subject of the present invention is a device for loosening or tightening nuts and bolts comprising an electric motor 2, the output shaft of which may drive an inertia flywheel 14 which may be connected to a driving key 9 by a quick clip-on means, it being possible for the driving key to slide axially with respect to the flywheel 14 against the action of elastic means 11 for providing clipping-in. According to the invention, the flywheel 14 is fixed onto an auxiliary shaft (arbor) 5 which is connected to the output shaft of the motor 1 by a pair of polyurethane gears 3 and 4. <IMAGE>
