The method involves presenting people with different odor samples, arranged into ten groups. Each group includes at least two identical odor samples and a sample that is slightly different. The samples are presented to the person sequentially by group. The results are then evaluated. A supplementary group may consist of several individual odor samples which are greatly different from the other odor samples. An Independent claim is also included for evaluating the capacity to differentiate between the odor samples.
