PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily produce a fine and highly accurate bar code and also to facilitate the postscript of the bar code by laminating in sequence a recording layer consisting of an organic coloring matter and a metallic reflecting layer including a protection layer on its surface onto a transparent substrate. SOLUTION: A transparent film is drawn out of a roll-shaped matter of the transparent film of polyolefin, polyvinyl chloride, etc., where an adhesive film is laminated. At the same time, a metallic reflecting layer, a recording layer consisting of an organic coloring matter and a transparent protection layer are laminated in sequence on the surface of the transparent film. The transparent film is once taken up in a roll shape or directly cut into a bar code recording medium in the prescribed width and length. Then the bar code recording medium is stuck on a commodity. A bar code is produced by radiating a laser beam on the bar code recording medium in an optional step after the recording layer is formed. Thus, it is possible to easily produce a fine and highly accurate bar code and also to facilitate the postscript of the bar code. |
