摘要 The invention relates to a method and system for generating electric energy by: generating a raw gas which is rich in H2 and which contains portions of CO2 and CO by catalytically converting liquid and/or gaseous fuels (1); by removing interfering impurities from the raw gas in order to form an H2 gas stream suited for a fuel cell; and by feeding the H2 gas stream into the anode compartment of a fuel cell. A gas steam which is rich in O2 is fed to the cathode compartment of said fuel cell in order to generate electric current. The produced gas which is rich in H2 is fed to a membrane filter (2) provided for separating the content of CO2, a large portion of CO, and optional additional contaminating components, and is divided into a filter waste gas stream and a pre-purified gas stream which is rich in H2. Afterwards, the pre-purified gas stream which is rich in H2 is subjected to a selective catalytic oxidation (3) of the CO portion still contained therein, and is then fed to the fuel cell (4).
