<p>A cosmetic compact (1) having a cover (3) and a base (2) arranged to define an airtight compartment (11) therebetween which is sealed by a bore seal (19). The compact (1) is further provided with a latch member (7) which is adapted to releasably hold the cover in its closed position. The latch member (7) is arranged so that it may be operated both to release the cover (3) from its closed position and apply a mechanical advantage to separate the bore seal (19) and thereby open the airtight compartment (11).</p> |
