<p>Starch-based puffed snack foods in the form of sticks having three-dimensionally corrugated surface and a process for conveniently producing the same by the extrusion method. In this method, the amounts of water and a calcium salt to be added to a starch-based material are controlled in the step of preparing the starch-based dough to thereby control the fluidity of the puffed snack food discharged from a two-staged die attached to an extruder, thus giving the starch-based puffed snack foods in the form of sticks.</p> |
