Method for the environmentally friendly elimination of harmful substances from waste gases in combustion processes in the ceramic industry

A method is described which, inter alia, enables a reliable and environmentally friendly elimination of harmful substances from waste gases such as occur in combustion processes, in particular in the ceramic industry. By thermal decomposition owing to recycling the waste gases into the combustion process, this is achieved in a particularly economical manner. In the burning kiln (baking oven), at least one burner nozzle in the form of a Coanda nozzle is operated, preferably with natural gas. The establishment of the atmospheric circulation required for kiln operation is effected by means of steam which is obtained by using excess waste heat with a presettable degree of saturation, produced in industrial processes, and is supplied to the Coanda nozzle as suction fluid.
