A method for separating particular objects from a mixture of objects. The objects having different properties, in particular surface characteristics. The objects can be for instance shellfish such as shrimp mixed with other spices and juveniles. The objects are separated during their transportation along a conveyor system. The objects are directed onto an upwardly inclined conveyor band (2), said conveying band being continuously moved in the upward inclined direction (3). The particular objects to be separated have less affinity to the surface of the band slide downward against the movement of the band, whereas other objects have higher affinity to the surface of the band move upward with the band, thus the objects are directed into two groups. |
