Packaging machine for surgical needles with connected surgical thread

The automatic packaging machine has several working stations. A first station has a unit to place an empty needle dish (170) on the support plate of a processing head. A second station has a unit to transmit a set angular movement to the support plate and the needle dish. A third station has a needle transfer unit with grip to clamp a needle (N) with surgical thread (S) and move it into a holder in the dish, so that part of the thread is hanging out of the dish. A fourth working station turns the disc. A fifth station winds the hanging thread part within the edge (174) of the dish. A sixth station places a cover (490) on the dish. A seventh station moves the needle dish package into a container below it.
