The dowel plug comprises at least two lengthways part insert liners (1,2) with corresponding edge surfaces (3,4), and a material bridge (5) formed as a ladder. The insert liners have an insertion canal with a large diameter, at their extreme position, and a bore hole with a large diameter. In a second extreme position an insertion canal has a small diameter and a bore hole with a small diameter.
