METHOD OF FABRICATION OF TRANSLUCENT DENTAL RESTORATIONS

A method of fabrication of dental translucent restorations without opacious substructures includes the steps of applying an impression material to a tooth stump; using the geometry of an impression resultant of the applying step to form a dental die; applying, upon the die, a die spacer, the color and shade of which is matched to a dentist's prescription of the dentin shade; applying a lubricant to said die spacer; applying, upon the lubricant, a dental wax from which a dental wax-up is formed; removing the wax-up from the die; and processing the wax-up into a translucent dental substructure with the die matching the prescribed dentin color and shade.
