Apparatus and methods for receiving and transporting a bulk bag which is filled with solid particulate material. In one embodiment, the apparatus comprises a base portion and two wall portions, each wall portion being detachably attachable to the other and each wall portion comprising a first wall member and a second wall member, the first wall member being hinged to the base portion and the second wall member being hinged to the first wall member, whereby (a) the wall portions may be suitably disposed and attached to one another to define a space above the base portion for receiving the bulk bag, and (b) when the wall portions are detached from one another, the wall members of each wall portion may be brought into sufficient proximity to one another that the wall portions then may be disposed substantially above the base portion and substantially one on top of the other. |
