<p>The present invention relates to large screen display devices, particularly screens which can be used for displaying a television or video image on a large area, such as for a large outdoor audience. According to one aspect of the present invention there is provided a large area video display system comprising an array of light emitting diodes wherein the light emitting diodes are arranged in linear groups, each linear group corresponding to one of a plurality of removable elongate carrier boards for the light emitting diodes.
