<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a peripheral equipment for carrying the instantaneity of status information, and for making a band width wide open at the time of transmitting status information by using a USB(universal serial bus) interface simultaneously accessible to plural peripheral processors and to provide its control method. SOLUTION: A printer 15 is provided with a first transfer function 37 for transmitting status information in bulk transfer of a USB and a second transfer function 38 for transmitting the status information by interrupting transfer. The status information in response to a request from a host whose issuing timing can be captured by the host is transmitted by the bulk transfer by the first transferring function 37, and the band width is ensured for the bulk transfer. On the other hand, the spontaneous status information whose timing can not be captured by the host is transmitted by the interrupting transfer whose transferring period is short by the second transfer function 38, and the instantaneity of the status informations is ensured.</p> |
