An apparatus to introduce ozone into a liquid medium especially water has a filter insert (2) into which ozone is introduced and released as fine bubbles. The filter insert (2) is submerged in the water. The apparatus further has a rotary pump (4) which is located in the fluid medium downstream from the filter insert (2), and which pumps the water and ozone together.
