A connection management service method for communication channel in which the connection of a channel is made in accordance with a call connecting request to a called subscriber from a calling subscriber, characterized by a process for recognizing the congested state of the channel, a process for measuring the connecting time of the channel when the channel is in a congested state, a process for discriminating whether or not the connecting time reaches a preset period of time, and a process for forcibly disconnecting the channel when the above-mentioned set period of time has elapsed. These processes for servicing connection management are executed so as to prevent the channel from being exclusively used by a specific person, but by many more persons for speech when the channel is in a congested state due to a disaster, etc.
