<p>An interactive multimedia application (100) executes in a debug mode (114A) in which a tester can specify a particular user event, for example correct and incorrect responses. To emulate a correct response, an interactive module (110) determines correct criteria and provides those criteria to a debug manager (112). Characterization of user events is performed by a user interface module (108), which communicates events by messages to the interactive module (110). The debug manager (112) emulates a user event by retrieving the classification criteria from the interactive module (110), forming an event message representing an event, and sending the event message to the interactive module (110). Accordingly, the interactive module receives an event message that could come from either the debug manager (112) or the user interface (108) module making the particular instructions executed by the interactive module the same regardless of whether the event is emulated or real.</p> |
