Circuit breaker with current supply for electronic overcurrent release

The circuit breaker has an electronic overcurrent release circuit supplied via a rectifier (2) and a current converter (1), which is coupled to at least one phase of the monitored current. The current rectifier is coupled to a regulator (5) which switches in the voltage for the electronic release circuit upon reaching a lower limit value and which limits it to below a higher limit value. A voltage limiting circuit provides a reference voltage for the A/D converter in the electronic release circuit corresponding to the lower limit value.
