Active mirror optical system for astronomical application

The optical system has a casing and at least one optical element, especially a lens, with at least one reflective surface. An active or adaptive mirror (4) on a mirror prism (3) is used as at least one of the optical elements in the optical path, in order to change the focal length and imaging properties.
