A connector system includes a connector receptacle and a removably attachabl e connector. The connector receptacle has an opening and a connector engaging structure. The removably attachable connector has a retaining member and a plurality of dust covers (261). The retaining member is insertable into the receptacle opening and has a bottom portion and a top portion from which at least three extensions (215) project. The extensions are adapted to cooperat e with the connector engaging structure to secureley attach the connector to t he receptacle. The plurality of dust covers are located in the bottom portion o f the retaining member, each dust cover being associated with one of the extensions such that when the connector is securely attached to the receptacle, the dust covers fit snugly into the receptacle opening. |
