In connection with stand lamps it can be desirable that a carrier arm projecting from a stand tube be angularly adjustable relative to this tube, e.g. from somewhat below horizontal to almost vertical, and there is already known different joining fittings usable for this purpose, with associated stabilisation of the loaded carrier arm in the different positions thereof. These known fittings, however, have the character of 'technical items', while with the invention a purer style is wanted. To this end the tubular carrier arm and the stand tube are both terminated in a screw winding of approximately 360°, and these windings are screwed together so as to form a screw-shaped telescope connection, which may hold the electrical wire, and from which the tangentially projecting carrier arm can be screwed out to a lesser or higher degree for assuming different angular positions. The carrier arm may be self-carrying by the internal friction in the telescope joint.
|
