The connection socket has a metallic casing bottom part (13) with a base (15) enclosed by a perpendicular peripheral wall (16) and a co-operating casing upper part (14) with a circuit board supported between them parallel to the base. The base has two channel surfaces (29,31) on its outside and two perpendicular channel surfaces (32,33) with a quarter cylinder cross-section, provided with rupture points to hold a data cable.
