METHOD FOR FORMATION OF COATING FILM AND COATING COMPOSITION

A method for forming a coating film which comprises applying a primer (A) and/or a first metallic coating (B) containing a non-leafing aluminum flake (a) having a thickness of 0.1 to 1 mu m and an average particle diameter of 1 to 60 mu m, and then applying a second metallic coating (C) containing a fine metal foil (b) having a thickness of 0.08 mu m or less and an average particle diameter of 5 to 40 mu m. The method allows stably forming a coating film which has no problems with respect to physical properties, is excellent in hiding power for marks by flatting down and has an appearance of continuous metal plating.
