An adjustable mounting structure for a restraining strap within a travel bag includes four vertical track means on the inside wall of the cover shell (1) of the bag, the strap being a crossed strap (4) having four ends each connected to the vertical track means by a respective connector which slides on each vertical track means, and four wedged stop blocks (5) respectively fastened to the cover shell (1) to retain the connectors in the vertical track means. Each connector consists of a slide block (31), and a mounting plate (32), the slide block (31) having a T shaped longitudinal sliding groove (311) coupled to one vertical track means, a transverse slot (312) which receives one end of the crossed strap (4), and a rounded pin (313) which holds one end of the crossed strap (4). The mounting plate (32) is inserted into the sliding groove (311) between the respective vertical track means and the respective slide block (31), and has a pair of angled lugs (321) coupled to the respective vertical track means from an inner side, and an insertion hole (323) which receives the rounded pin (313) of the respective slide block (31). |
