FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: device has main contacts, auxiliary contacts of which one has nipple, insulating nipple, hard-gas space confined between inner surface of insulating nipple and auxiliary contacts that is combined with contact gap and communicates with compression chamber through slot-type duct provided in insulating nipple to ensure transversal blowout and with circuit-breaker interior through slot-type transversal- blowout duct formed by outer surface of auxiliary contact and inner surface of insulating nipple; in addition, arc-control device is provided with insulating sleeve separating hard-gas chamber made in insulating nipple body from slot-type transversal- blowout duct, its inner terminal surface confining hard-gas space in upstream direction; introduced in addition is also cylindrical insulating sleeve mounted with definite clearance; its inner surface and outer cylindrical surface of moving auxiliary- contact member form chamber which communicates, like hard- gas chamber, with hard-gas cavity through annular ducts.
