Gaseous mixture composed of acetylene and either hydrogen or natural gas

The fuel mixture produces a visible flame with oxygen for oxy-cutting with a good performance. The gaseous fuel mixture containing acetylene and hydrogen or natural gas such that the ratio Qc/Qa, where Qa is the amount of acetylene and Qc the amount of hydrogen or natural gas, is 99:1-70.1:29.9. Independent claims are also included for: (i) receivers for containing the gas mixture; (ii) an oxy-cutting process using the mixture; (iii) preparation of the mixture; and (iv) an oxy-combustion apparatus for effecting the operation.
