The magazine spring of constant cross-section is made from spring steel strip, spring wire or plastics and is used esp. for the feed mechanisms of machines. The magazines spring consists of loose, layered, curved leaf springs, arranged so that a leaf with flat ends (1) contacts one with flanged ends (2). The flange height (h) is less than the leaf thickness (t), so that the compressed spring height (LC) equals the number of leaf springs (n) multiplied by the leaf thickness (t). USE/ADVANTAGE - Spring operates over max. amount of magazine length.
