APPARATUS FOR ULTRASONIC FLAW DETECTION OF ROLLED SHEETS

FIELD: testing and measuring technique, possibly ultrasonic flaw detection of rolled sheets including thick sheet material in manufacturing line. SUBSTANCE: continuous flaw detection of rolled sheets is realized with the aid of apparatus including roller table, acoustic unit and immersion bath. A part of roller table is placed in immersion liquid in bath in such a way that profile of roller table forms in bath zone concave curve symmetrical relative to acoustic unit. Contour of curve is selected according to condition of its coinciding with contour of elastic line of detected sheet moving along roller table. Portion of acoustic unit containing ultrasonic pickups may be placed in water-lifting chamber. Its inner cavity is restricted by walls and liquid of immersion bath serves as its bottom. Inner cavity of water-lifting chamber is connected through air intake pipeline with vacuumizing device. EFFECT: improved design. 2 cl, 1 dwg
