The electronic overcurrent trip includes a rating plug (1) in combination with at least one rotary coding switch (2) for selecting the response threshold value of the overcurrent trip. Preferably, the lowest value which can be set of the coding switch corresponds to a given percentage value of the measured current for several different rating plugs.
