<p>The system has a hand transmitter (11) for transmitting encoded signals and a receiver (12) for the transmitted signals in the vehicle. A signal, preferably an electromagnetic signal, is transmitted by manually operating the hand transmitter. The receiver decodes the signal to drive the control unit. The hand transmitter has at least two different operating modes, i.e. a standard mode for standard signals and at least one special mode for special signals. In the special mode the transmitter increases the transmission power and/or changes the transmission frequency and/or modulation type. The transmitter only changes to special mode if the same operation is repeated within a time window.</p> |
