FIELD: mechanical engineering; drum-shoe brakes of transport facilities. SUBSTANCE: braking mechanism includes brake shoes, expansion cam and expansion cam drive. Mounted between expansion cam and brake shoes are rollers; brake shoes are interconnected by means of spring. Braking mechanism is provided with additional braking shoe; expansion cam drive includes hydraulic drive whose piston is rigidly connected with additional brake shoe.
