SUBSTANCE: room- temperature stable aqueous composition for patient injection includes biologically-active peptide, e.g. vasopressin, buffer, quaternary ammonium-type preservative or disinfectant and osmotic pressure controlling agent. Composition is buffered to pH between approximately 4 and 6 by buffer preferably consisting of citrate and/or phosphate, whereas preferable preservative or disinfectant benzalkonium chloride. Composition prevents peptides contained therein from sticking to walls of container, especially those of polymer materials.
