The device includes a carrier (1) for the handicapped person, a lever mechanism (2) designed to vertically displace the carrier (1); and a transfer system (3) designed to horizontally displace the carrier (1) from the exterior to the interior of the vehicle and vice versa. The carrier (1) is made up of two arms (16) , connected by one of their ends to a hinge (17) and fitted at the other ends with pads (18) designed to be placed at the level of the small of the back of the person to be supported. There are two arms (19), connected by one of their ends to hinges (20) placed on the arms (16) and fitted at the other ends with pads (21) designed to be placed under the thighs of the person to be carried. |
