A coin deposit lock for shopping trolleys, comprising a coin chamber and a key chamber, provided with a control element which is displaced between the coin chamber and the key chamber, whereupon a rotational element held in an adjacent position thereto can pivot around a longitudinal axis at a specific control angle. Said rotational element has lock contours which swivel alternately into the movement path of the coin in the coin chamber or of the key in the key chamber, thus blocking the removal of the coin or key which can only be released by inserting the other respective part. The invention is based on transposition of the linear movement of the control element into a corresponding rotation of at least one rotational element and the blocking effect thus produced. The inventive coin deposit lock is designed in such a way that it can be manufactured entirely out of plastic and fitted with reliable working components which by virtue of their dimensions are also less prone to error. |
