FIELD: wind-power engineering. SUBSTANCE: unit has vertical shaft and sensing member in the form of double-arm pole carrying on its ends rigidly fixes sail surfaces; in addition, it is provided with bracket loosely mounted on vertical shaft that carries at least one sensing member installed for easy rotation about horizontal axis; double-arm pole is mounted perpendicular to this axis on radially distant end; sail surfaces are balanced out relative to horizontal axis and set along double-arm pole axis at right angle to each other; one of sail surfaces is parallel to plane crossing vertical shaft and longitudinal center line of pole.
