PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a component concentration of a pigment solid matter in an ink drop ejected during the printing to be stable and constant by stabilizing the movement of the pigment solid matter and a size of a meniscus in the ink in an ink chamber during the printing. SOLUTION: A timing for supplying ink 16 by ink supplying means 2, 3 and a timing for performing printing by ejecting the ink 16 from an electrostatic ink jet head 1 are different from each other. The supplying of ink to an ink chamber 13 by means of the ink supplying means 2, 3 is executed every time when the printing on a recording paper is completed. Or, the supplying of ink to the ink chamber 13 by means of the ink supplying means 2, 3 is executed every time when the printing of a predetermined lines is completed or the printing of a predetermined number of dots is completed. |
