PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an aluminum alloy clad material for heat exchanger, excellent in strength and corrosion resistance and suitably used as a material for automobile heat exchanger tube and header, e.g. for radiator and heater core. SOLUTION: An aluminum alloy core material, having a composition consisting of 0.3-2.0% Mn, 0.25-1.0% Cu, 0.3-1.1% Si, and the balance Al with impurities, is clad with a sacrificial anode material which has a composition consisting of 1.5-8% Zn, 0.01-0.8% Si, 0.01-0.3% Fe, and the balance Al with impurities and in which, among Si compounds and Fe compounds in a matrix, the number of compounds of >=1μm grain size is regulated to <=2×10<4> pieces per mm<2> . Both sides of the core material can be clad with the sacrificial anode material, or, one side of the core material can be clad with the sacricifial anode material and the other side can be clad with an Al-Si brazing filler metal.
