PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve traction performance at the time of turning while maintaining straight driving stability in high speed driving. SOLUTION: This motorcycle tire is provided with shoulder reinforcing layers 9 comprising a pair of shoulder plies 9A disposed apart from each other in respective treated shoulder parts Y1 in both sides of the tire axial direction between a carcass 6 and a band layer 7. The shoulder ply 9A has a reinforcing code 12 arranged at an angleθof 15-45 deg. and has a folding shape folded inside and outside in a radial direction at folding edges 9e in outside of the tire axial direction. A reinforcement width W1 of a reinforcing layer 9 is 1/8-1/4 of a band width WB of a band layer 7.
