PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a mat for planting, laid on an artificial ground, and enabling walking on a banked soil or the upper face of plantation thereof. SOLUTION: This mat 1 for planting is obtained by standing one or plural columnar members 6 having heights not higher than the upper end part of a cell side wall in a cell 2 having a concave shape regulated so as to open upward, and draining openings 4 bored at the near part of the bottom part. Each of the mat for the planting obtained by standing the one or plural columnar members 6 having the heights not higher than the upper end part of the cell side wall in the cell 2 having the concave shape regulated so as to open upward, and the draining openings 4 bored at the near part of the bottom part is connected to each other through ribs. Preferably, a hole is bored at a proper part of the tip part of the columnar member 6.
