DEORDORIZING RESIN COMPOSITION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composition applicable for a packaging material and an intermediate packaging material which can remove both a tobacco smell and a formalin smell by mixing a deodorant component comprising hydrated silicic acid including an oxide or a hydroxide of an alkaline earth metal as a major component and a dihydrazide compound with a thermoplastic resin. SOLUTION: A magnesium hydroxide and a calcium hydroxide are particularly effective as an oxide or a hydroxide to be used in the invention. The current of the oxide or hydroxide is preferably 70-40 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. of all deordorant components. The hydrated silicic acid is represented by SiO2 .nH2 O and is a secondary particle of coagulated primary particles having many silanol groups on surface thereof. The hydrazide compound preferably includes an adipic acid dihydrazide and a phthalic acid dihydrazide. 1.0-90 pts.wt. of the deorodation is conventionally mixed with 99.0-10 pts.wt. of a resin.
