PURPOSE:To easily replace the consumable and to perform cleaning operation by counting the number of times of image formation is performed, and reading and converting message information into image information when a specific value is counted, and then forming an image on a transfer material with the message information according to the image information. CONSTITUTION:While the number of times of printing operation is counted in the count area of the E<2>PROM of an engine control circuit 2, message information to be outputted at a cleaning period is stored in a ROM 402. When the specific value is counted in the count area of the E<2>PROM, the message information is read out of the ROM 402 and converted into image data and a photosensitive body which is charged electrostatically is exposed according to the converted image data; and development, transfer, and fixation are carried out in order to print the message information on a form. Consequently, an operator need not prepare an operation manual for cleaning operation, which is performed by referring to the printed message information, thereby easily performing the cleaning operation. |
