The present invention relates to a coating composition and a pigment dispersant comprising aldimine having the formula wherein R1 is alkyl, aryl, cycloaliphatic or substituted alkyl, aryl, cycloaliphatic or heterocyclic group, and R2 is monomeric or polymeric aliphatic, aromatic, arylaliphatic or cycloaliphatic group which may contain O, N, S, or Si. The coating composition further comprises: b) an isocyanate compound having ubetdione functionality, c) at least one moisture absorbing compound, and d) acid catalyst, wherein the coating composition demonstrates increased pot life and decreased dry time.
