摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a buffer material which is light in weight, easy in disposal, and provided with excellent impact absorbing capacity and load bearing capacity. SOLUTION: In a buffer material 10 comprising a corrugated center core 1 and liners 2, 3 adhered to each or either surface of the center core, the center core 1 is constituted by alternately and continuously arranging an S-shaped part 4 of S-shaped section and an inverted S-shaped part 5 of inverted S-shaped section. A plurality of stages of center cores are laminated across the liners 2, 3, the center core 1 on the upper stage side is arranged in the direction of equal corrugation relative to the center core 1 on the lower stage, and laminated with half-pitch deviation in the direction of corrugation. Flat parts to be brought into contact with each other when the center cores 1 are compressed to deform are respectively formed on the S-shaped part 4 and the inverted S-shaped part 5.
