PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling a printing ink filling state in an ink fountain by which printing ink consumption is reduced and the reliability of an ink supply to a printing press is enhanced. SOLUTION: A change in the actual filling state per unit time is measured for every measuring position by a filling state sensor and thereby the residual amount of a printing ink 3 in a container 10 is continuously measured. When the residual amount is below a specified value, the residual amount is fed into an ink fountain 4 from the container in proportion to a change in the filling state per unit time at respective output positions. Thus the printing ink filling state in the ink fountain 4 is controlled. |
