PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a thermosensitive recording medium having a high heat resistance and an excellent plasticizer resistance in a recording image part and a ground color part by adopting a compound represented by a specific formula as a developer and incorporating a specific ratio of a glyoxal to 1 pt. of the developer in the recording layer. SOLUTION: 0.08 to 0.35 pt. of a glyoxal is contained in 1 pt. of a developer represented by a formula (wherein X is an oxygen atom or a sulfur atom, R is an unsubstituted or substitued phenyl group, naphthyl group, aralkyl group, 1-6C lower alkyl group, 3-6C cycloalkyl group or 2-6C lower alkenyl group, Z is 1-6C lower alkyl group or an electron-attractive group, n is an integer of 0 to 4, p is an integer of 1 to 5, wherein it satisfies (n+P<=5), thereby obtaining the thermosensitive recording medium having high stabilities of a ground color part and an image part. |
