PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing unwashed rice by dry rice washing, capable of completely removing fine rice bran attached to fine channels of rice grain. SOLUTION: An element such as a transportation screw, a retention or a reverse screw, etc., is passed through depending upon a purpose and attached to a hollow shaft and a cylindrical separating perforated plate equipped with a porous net or a porous plate is fixed to the circumference of the screw to give a dry unwashed rice apparatus. A mixture of pounded polished rice and a rice washing material is fed to the dry unwashed rice apparatus, the polished rice is subjected to dry rice washing and jetting air is sent from the hollow shaft and the through holes of the element to discharge fine rice bran remaining on the surface of the polished rice accompanied by the fine rice washing material out of the system. Since the rice bran attached to the surface of rice grain is efficiently removed, unwashed rice free from a smell of rice bran can be produced. |
