摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject new substance of which structure is changed by a gene manipulation so as to reduce the degree of a coverage of a specific amino acid structural part for regulating the electron transfer rate of a hem protein over a hem 3, and useful for the synthesis of a useful material and the decomposition of a harmful material, etc. SOLUTION: This mutated cytochrome c3 is a new mutated cytochrome c3 of which structure is changed by a gene manipulation so as to reduce the degree of a coverage of a specific amino acid structural part presenting at the periphery of hem 3 for regulating the electron transfer rate of a hem protein over a hem 3 and is expected to be utilized for the synthesis of a useful material or the decomposition of a harmful material, since it improves the oxidation and reduction rate in cells by incorporating it into a sulfate reducing bacterium and photo-synthesizing bacterium to improve the electron transfer rate. The mutated cytochrome c3 is obtained by treating a plasmid having a total coding domain of the cytochrome c3 with a restricting enzyme for separating its gene, incorporating a mutation into the above gene by partially substituting with an oligonucleotide incorporated with a mutation in its base sequence, then incorporating the gene into a vector and expressing in a host.
