<p>A facsimile apparatus (1) having a telephone function for transmitting and receiving a voice signal through a telephone line (2) and a facsimile function for transmitting and receiving an image signal through the telephone line (2). The facsimile apparatus includes a parent machine (3) connected to the telephone line (2) and having the telephone function, and a child machine (4) coupled to the parent machine (3) by radio and having the telephone function and the facsimile function.
