PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image discriminating device with which exactly discriminate whether or not an image area to become a processing object is an area including an irradiated area. SOLUTION: A secondary differential value is provided from one-dimensional image data in an object area inside an image such as a radiograph by a secondary differential value acquiring means 201. By using the secondary differential value provided by the secondary differential value acquiring means 201, the coordinate of a terminal area in the irradiated area is provided by irradiation terminal extracting means 202 and 203. By comparing this coordinate of the terminal point in the irradiated area with the previously provided coordinate of the terminal point in the irradiated area, it is discriminated whether or not the irradiated are is included in the object (whether or not the irradiation is narrowed). |
